Founders + Advisors with Strength + Experience

Our team is built on a foundation of proven leadership, industry expertise, and a shared vision for lasting impact. With decades of combined experience, our founders bring innovative thinking and a passion for growth, while our advisors provide the strategic insight and guidance that only comes from years of navigating complex challenges. Together, this collaboration blends strength with wisdom, ensuring every decision is grounded in both bold ambition and practical know-how.

The Story of BatchNav

BatchNav began where most good ideas do — with frustration.

As hands-on operators in cannabis cultivation and manufacturing, we experienced firsthand how little clarity growers and processors truly had about their real costs. We were constantly making decisions based on yield and sales numbers while the real financial truth — the cost of producing every gram, every batch, every SKU — remained buried under spreadsheets, disconnected systems, and guesswork.

We’d sit in front of P&Ls that never quite lined up with what was happening on the floor. We knew our sales figures, but not our profits. We tracked compliance, but not performance. And like so many operators, we were relying on software built for regulators — not for business owners who needed to understand where their money was going.

That gap — between operational activity and financial truth — is where BatchNav was born.

From Frustration to Foundation

Before BatchNav, we managed cannabis operations that used all the usual software: ERP systems, track-and-trace tools, and inventory platforms. But they all stopped short of the one thing that mattered most — connecting cost to action.

When we discovered that 30–60% of total production costs were effectively hidden in overhead — rent, depreciation, labor inefficiencies, utilities, equipment wear, and other “invisible” drivers — it became clear that traditional systems couldn’t fix what they couldn’t measure.

So we built something that could.

Building the System We Wish We Had

BatchNav was designed from the ground up for cannabis operations — a managerial accounting engine that connects physical flow to financial flow. Instead of forcing growers and lab managers to act like accountants, BatchNav automatically captures operational data (time, materials, equipment, environmental conditions, and tasks) and turns it into precise cost data at the batch level.

Each cost center — from Mother Care and Propagation to Extraction and Packaging — becomes a measurable unit of performance. Overhead is no longer a black box; it’s allocated retroactively based on real activity, showing exactly what each gram or SKU costs to produce.

Simplicity is key to BatchNav. It’s easy to install and easy to use, from the cultivation rooms to the executive suite.

The People Behind BatchNav

Our founders came from the same world our customers live in. We’ve walked the cultivation floor, managed trimming crews, balanced inconsistent lab runs, and reconciled endless spreadsheets trying to make sense of margins that never quite added up.

That combination of operational experience and financial discipline shaped everything we built. Our CTO, Mauricio, leads a development team that’s been with us since day one — engineers, testers, and designers working together in person, building BatchNav line by line with precision and pride. Our commercial team — Kate (CEO), Clark (CCO), and Mike (CXO) — brings decades of experience in cultivation management, compliance, customer success, and product strategy.

Together, we share one goal: to give cannabis businesses cost clarity — because profitability starts with understanding how value is really created.

Why It Matters

Cannabis operators have been told for years to focus on compliance, yield, and sales. But you can’t grow what you don’t measure, and you can’t scale what you don’t understand. Knowing your true cost per batch is the difference between surviving and thriving in a volatile market.

BatchNav doesn’t replace the craft or intuition of cultivation — it empowers it with truth. Because once you know your real costs, you can finally make decisions that make you money.
